Lymington
Set on the edge of the New Forest and overlooking the Solent, Lymington is a unique Georgian coastal town offering many independent shops to explore as well as the historic quay which offers many places to sit and enjoy the views.
Our family visited Lymington countless times over 21 years before moving to the area, the hours sat watching the boats at the quay are very memorable for me.
Burley
Nestled in the heart of the New Forest, Burley is a very special place for our family. We stayed here 2 or 3 times a year for over 20 years and my children had their happiest memories made here; exploring the forest on their doorstep in every kind of weather, learning to ride their bikes, living in wellies and having fun on rope swings!
The village itself is full of charm, there are lovely independent shops, numerous tea rooms and traditional pubs. Not forgetting our favourite fudge shop!
New Milton
New Milton is my local town conveniently situated between the forest and the coast. Just a 7 min drive from Tiptoe.
A great high street where I can pick up all my essentials and many lovely independent coffee shops to choose from.
New Milton has excellent rail connections with regular services to London, Bournemouth and Poole making it super easy for my teenager to get around!
Brockenhurst
Brockenhurst is a beautiful village in the heart of the New Forest surrounded by ancient woodland and open healthland.
I took this photo on one of our many trips here before we moved to the area; the New Forest donkeys are a much loved part of Brockenhurst, such gentle animals who are happy grazing around the village.
The village has such a welcoming atmosphere and there are plenty of coffee shops and tea rooms to try out!
